U.V. RESISTANT DACRON/POLYESTER ANTENNA SUPPORT ROPE
Super High Quality, Black, Double Braided
| This is specially constructed Dacron/Polyester rope cuts neatly and easily with a hot
knife. This also seals the ends so that they will not unravel. This rope can also be cut
with scissors or wire cutters and the ends simply melted slightly with a heat source
(soldering iron or ?). This unique product is constructed with DuPont's color sealed, black Dacron yarn for the braided jacket, and a Polyester Braided core for strength. The Dacron jacket provides abrasion resistance and in addition protection from ultra-violet light. The Polyester core has virtually no stretch when compared to Nylon. This Antenna rope is easy to work with it can be tied with ordinary knots and can be untied and tied again over and over. This special line (rope) makes an excellent addition to any HAM'S antenna farm or field day kit. These Dacron/Polyester braids are not weakened by mildew and provide excellent resistance to aging and abrasion. The following strength figures are per the manufacturer and are for reference only as many factors have a significant effect on the strength of braid. Therefore we can offer no guarantee of the exact strength but offer the figures below as a guide. |
