Preferred Method for best Bandwidth and power handling: All elements may be connected through a single feed line and a remote antenna switch. Some bands require the use of odd 1/4 wave 75 ohm coax matching sections (available from Cubex). Full instructions accompany each antenna. Want more information on a Remote Antenna Switch?

Alternative Feed Method:
The Cubex Matching Transformer - Provides Single 50 ohm coax feed for 3 band and 5 band Quads. Unbalanced input to Balanced output, rated at 1.5 KW, suspended at the center of the driven element array (15 meter feed point), the transformer provides a simple economical method of feeding the multi-band quad. Note, this is a compromise feed device which may reduce bandwidth and side lobe spurious. (Go to Hardware page for more information)

Typical Gain: 10dbi on 10 and 15 meters - 9 dbi on 20 meters. @ 50ft.
SWR: Below 2:1 on all bands.
Front to back ratio: Up to 25 db.
Feeding: Can be fed individually with either coax (unbalanced), or with a Cubex Matching transformer (balanced).
Elements: No.14, 19strand Tinned copper clad steel wire. All elements precisely measured, cut and marked for easy assembly.
Power: CUBEX ANTENNAS will handle full legal limit.

Spiders: Heavy duty heat-treated cast aluminum alloy. Positive clamping to boom.
Boom: Standard 2 element quad uses an 8 ft. by 2 in. O.D. 6053-T5 seamless aluminum boom. 3 and 4 element quads use HD 3" O.D. X 0.083" 6053-T5 aluminum boom.
Boom to Mast: High strength cast aluminum mast to boom coupler used for 2" booms; 1/4" Aluminum plate mast to boom coupler used on 3" booms.
Spreader Arms: Select fiberglass for maximum strength and light weight.
Turning Radius Only 9'- 6" (2 El.)
Weight: Only 35 - 38 pounds. two element models. (Weight varies with model, type of wires etc.)
Installation Height: 40 feet recommended, higher is better, but quads work amazingly well at low elevations.
Rotator: Can be turned with TV type rotators (2 El.)
